Reiki

Reiki, pronounced ‘ray-key’ is a Japanese energy medicine that promotes relaxation and self-healing.

How Does Reiki Work?

A reiki practitioner calls upon reiki healing energy and is a channel for pure universal energy to flow through.

This energy helps revitalise the body by clearing blockages. Reiki allows the body to drop into a state of deep relaxation for healing to naturally occur.

Reiki cannot harm, it is only for our highest and greatest good. It flows where it is needed the most.

Why Is Relaxation Important?

The body has two main divisions in the autonomic nervous system: the parasympathetic nervous system and the sympathetic nervous system.

The parasympathetic nervous system is commonly known as ‘rest and digest’. The sympathetic nervous system is commonly known as ‘fight or flight’.

For optimal health and wellness, we want to promote an active parasympathetic nervous system more than our sympathetic. This helps relaxation, aids in normal digestion and facilitates self-healing.

Often stress is a major part of chronic disease. The less we stress, the better it is for our overall health.

There are many pressures we all face in the world today, individually and collectively. It is an important part of self-care to engage in hobbies or activities which help us destress.

Reiki Treatment

I offer 60 minute in person treatments based in Te Awamutu central.

I also offer distance (online) reiki treatments to worldwide clients.

Reiki can be given to others even if we aren’t close physically. It all comes down to intention and being willing to receive.

I guide you through your reiki treatment session step by step.

Once you have made your booking, I send an email with details how to prepare for your appointment.
